New optional hydraulic trap door
This is a new option for Diamond Mowers' popular 50 inch boom flail.
This new hydraulic trap door allows an operator to open the vegetation inlet of the cutter head to cut brush and close it again when cutting grass to keep debris down.
There is also a retrofit kit available for Diamond Mowers 50 inch boom flails. Welding is required for retrofit.
During this demonstration, the 50" Boom flail from Diamond Mowers clearly demonstrated its versatility by cutting through thick Switchgrass, Alfalfa, Cattails, shrubbery and trees varying in diameters of 4 inches and larger.
Diamond Mowers 50" Boom Flail Mower is superior to hammer or standard brush cutting knives. Hammer knives will not cut grass.

The 50" boom flail exhibited low incidents of debris scatter even when cutting/mulching though a 5" diameter tree. The 50" boom flail is easier and safer to use in residential environment than a rotary mower.
All grass, shrubs and tree debris were easily mulched.
There is no need for a chipper or mulching device. The 50" boom flail can accomplish the task of two implements, decreasing your labor and equipment costs.
After the 50" boom flail was finished, there was no need to use a chipper, or pick up any debris. The mowed area was left clean due to the efficient cutting action of Diamond Mowers proven brush/grass cutting blades.
The 50" boom flails 48 2 pound cutter knives cut grass smoothly and can cut brush up to 4" diameter.
During torture testing for durablity, the 50" boom flail was able to cut and mulch this tree with a 9" base down to the ground. This is not recommended by Diamond Mowers and could cause the product to fail. Contact your Diamond Mowers dealer about the cutting and mulching capacity for trees of different hardness's and thicknesses.
